TSM Houston has recently used Intralox belting to create state-of-the-art belt conveyors for a water parks. Intralox belting has been around since 1971, but only recently has its benefit for use as belt conveyors for water parks been realized.

Recently, TSM Houston has been designing, fabricating, and installing many custom conveyors using Intralox belts. One specific water park application took advantage of the all-plastic construction and was created to be over 6 feet wide by 100 feet long! This conveyor is currently being used to transport rafts to the top of the ride where participants load onto the inflatable raft and slide down the exhilarating, twisting water chute. Intralox belts have proven to be 100% reliable and maintenance-free in applications for belt conveyors for water parks, and this particular attraction has run perfectly for the entire three years since installation.

Hopefully, this can be just the beginning of a water park area of expertise. The potential uses for belt conveyors for water parks are not limited to rafts. Many parks would like to see automated features, such as a conveyor belt system that can also be used to remove participants from the water flow at entry/exit stations from the amusement ride. Imagine being able to float up to any location at any speed!
