TSM Houston (Texas Sheet Metal) – your first choice for industrial ventilation contractors – can provide your company with quality design for all aspects of your ventilation system. Industrial ventilation contractors specialize in the design and troubleshooting of industrial ventilation systems, which is the following briefly outlines:

Industrial Ventilation Contractors

Industrial ventilation is a method of controlling worker exposure to airborne toxic chemicals or flammable vapors by exhausting contaminated air away from the work area and replacing it with clean air.  Industrial ventilation contractors are typically brought in to remove welding fumes, solvent vapors, oil mists or dusts from a work location and exhaust these contaminants outdoors.

TSM Houston industrial ventilation contractors understand that the design of an industrial ventilation system requires the knowledge of each type of ventilation:

Dilution ventilation:  using exhaust fans or open doors/windows to disperse the contaminant, and then providing makeup air in its place.

Local Exhaust Ventilation:  using fans to create a low pressure air system that “sucks” contaminated air from the high pressure work area.  Local exhaust systems have five basic elements:  hood, ducts, air cleaning device (occasionally), fans and exhaust stacks.

Customizing the ventilation system is something that the TSM Houston industrial ventilation contractors specialize in, along with the ability to troubleshoot any existing system.

Some tips industrial ventilation contracts like to keep in mind:

Ductwork damage:  holes, cracks, openings or clogs can all interfere with the ventilation.

Proper airflow balancing:  sometimes the system can be inadvertently affected by adding new ducts or lengthening existing ones.

Contaminant Source:  Sometimes the contaminant cannot enter the ventilation system because the source has been moved too far from the hood, or employees have blocked/closed/modified the hood because it interferes with the work space.

These problems can be evaluated simply and inexpensively using smoke generators.

So look no further for top-end industrial ventilation contractors, who have the experience and knowledge to provide a quality product and maintain the safety of your work environment that your company has grown to expect.
